Published: 29 November 2024

EPC has received the following update from Hampshire Highways:

Thank you for your email received on the 27th November 2024 concerning surface water flooding to the highway at Eversley Centre between The Fielders and Lindum Nurseries.

Hampshire County Council Highways undertook emergency works in a bid to clear the blocked highway drainage on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th November. On each occasion the attending team worked for around five hours to clear the blockages but were unsuccessful. On Tuesday night their high-pressure jetting work indicated that there was a root mass in the main carrier drain which discharges into the ditch adjacent to the bungalow named Happy Review.

On Wednesday (27th November) night Highways were able to redirect a resource which included a robotic root cutter who have cleared a substantial amount of root from the drainage system. The carrier drain is now operating at circa 50% and the initial hazard is removed, further work is however required for which another order has been raised.

EPC is working to find out when the further works will occur and will update further when we can
