Cross Green Pond – a big thank you!
A huge thank you to Collard Ltd, who have once again supported the Eversley Community by providing the team and equipment needed to remove the tons of silt that has built-up over time in Cross Green Pond.

Over time, the pond had become heavily silted and overgrown with weeds so this work was really needed to help restore the pond, improve water depth and make its ongoing management easier, creating a healthier habitat for the wildlife that calls it home.
The silt removed from the pond has been carefully spread across the adjoining woodland and wildflower areas, keeping the material on site and allowing it to naturally settle back into the surrounding landscape.
And we’re not stopping there! We’ll also be sowing more wildflowers ready for next year, helping to create an even better area for bees, butterflies and other wildlife.
A massive thank you to Collard Ltd for their help and support with this community project. It’s wonderful to have local businesses working alongside us to help look after and improve our parish.
We can’t wait to see it fill up again and watch the wildlife return.
