We all know Eversley has had problems with flooding on Marsh Lane, Hollybrook lane, Warbrook lane and not least the Reading Road!
At the end of last winter Thames water did try to fix at least some of the issues and we won’t really know how successful this was until the rains return.
However, landowners, highways and residents all have a part to play.
DITCHES are vital in mitigating flooding problems, if you have a ditch on your land please keep it clear of weeds and fallen branches, trees and rubbish that could stop the flow.
If you have a problem clearing a ditch on your land please reach out to the Parish Council and we will do all we can to assist you.
If it is not your land and you see an issue report it on “fix my street” or email the Clerk at the Parish Council and she will report it for you. The more it’s reported the more likely we can get something done.
Let’s not wait until it’s an issue we can all play a part by preparing ditches now whilst they are empty .
Thankyou
